Dancer and Choreographer
Rehearsal director at DART Dance Company and DART DSP

Born in Gyor, Hungary, Thomas Kiss graduated at the Contemporary Art and Dance School of Gyor. After graduating in 2011, Thomas got a scholarship to Dance Academy Princesse Grace Monaco. The same year he has joined Budapest Dance Theatre and been a soloist for 7 years. 

 

Thomas joined DART Dance Company in 2017 where he started his work with Kinga Vargova, Artistic Director of DART. Thomas has performed in many works with Budapest Dance Theatre and DART, including Gloomy l’attitudes (Jiri Pokorny, BDT), Doze (Jiri Pokorny, BDT), The animal that takes you (Fernando Troya, BDT), Nesama (Kinga Vargova, DART), Alpha (Kinga Vargova, DART), has been part of many new creations with the company including UKIYO (Blenard Azizaj, DART), YÅ«-Shi (Sofia Nappi, DART).

 

Thomas has been creating many pieces for Budapest Dance Theatre’s Elit Training Programme, DART DSP (Revolution, 2019) and DART Dance Company (Iterations, cooperation with Hanna Winter, 2020).

 

Thomas has been teaching contemporary classes  and repertoire for the DSP Programme since 2019.

 

He has become the rehearsal director of DART DSP in 2019 and the following year he took over the position of rehearsal directing of DART Dance Company as well.

Thomas has been taking part in many workshops all over the world.

He has been working with big names in dance world like Jiri Pokorny, Fernando Troya, Neel Verdoorn, Zachár Loránd, Raza Hammadi, Michael Lohr, Alice Valentin, Joseph Tmim, Peter Juhasz, Bruce Taylor, Jack Gallagher, Martin Dvorak, Lucas Viellafond, Andrej Petrovic, Alessandra Chirulli, Bela Foldi, Alexander Pereda, Attila Kun, Elvis Val, Aymeric Mosselmans, Johan King Silverhult, Martin Buczko, Gentian Doda, Yaara Dolev, Tanja Saban, Melanie Soren, Enrico Paglialunga, Attila Ronai.

Thomas has gotten Vadady Agnes award in 2010 and Princess Grace Monaco Award in 2011.
